That was a joke, obviously. Think about this for a second. An airport official blabbed that we are going to go there. Im pretty sure when SWA goes into a market there are confidentiality agreements in place. Not to mention I can think of about 20 other markets we would serve before LFT. Look at the RJ service there. No mainline from anyone, and a metro area of 500,000.
My guess is no, but that is my opinion, and we all know about those. Just doesn't pass the smell test.

They already serve MSY, which is a 2 hour drive from here, and most will make the drive to fly SWA.
Thanks.

Really? Take a look at Knoxville, Tennessee. Allegiant and Frontier in addition to the big 3. Nearest SWA City is Nashville about 3 hour drive away. Population somewhere around 200,000 in the city proper and huge tourist demand for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Frontier managed to find Canada, yet we are probably 2 years away from being able to sell tickets in loonies. In Mexico they serve cities we can't like Guadalajara and Durango, again due to only being able to accept dollars. They also go to a quite a few domestic cities I doubt Southwest will serve anytime soon...Palm Springs, Bozeman, Madison, Savannah, Bismark, Fargo.

Same with Myrtle Beach. Why don’t we fly there? Bags fly free and it is a golfing Mecca.
