Buying the airline for 10 787's sounds like a smart move to me!

I can see it now..."SWA 787 Pilots" page on FB..

You'll have a better reason to buy HA when SWA figures out running a true inter island schedule is a pain in the a$$ with the resources you currently have out here... If ya'll buy us, it'll be for inter island. Hopefully Delta pulls the trigger first.

I’ve noticed this strange obsession with SWA pilots Facebook groups. Perhaps if your airline had ten bases each roughly the size of your airline, there might be some specific groups for discussion and trip trading.

I just really, really want to be a part of a SWA Facebook group. The ETOPS one seems rather enticing

I guess I’m on the wrong site, but the number of pilots that seem to derive their self worth from which corporation hired them is bizarre to me. Actually pretty pathetic. I don’t say that to call you out specifically, because there are plenty at every airline.

I just can’t imagine trying to troll anonymous strangers about something you have basically no ownership or control of. “I got hired/acquired by XXX corporate HR department so screw everyone who got hired/acquired by YYY corporate HR department.”

Can we go back to discussing the A220 and it’s possible merits and/or demerits for SWA? As a follow on “food for thought”......how and will we get compensated by Boeing for their #$&k up on the MAX? Anyone have any solid info on that?

More MAX at discount prices? A lump sum damages payment? Or.....???

I’d think there’s a lot of opportunities for the A220 to work for us. The -300 is basically a 737-700 replacement, which is self explanatory since it’s more efficient and the -700’s are getting old. If they bought -100’s as well, that would open up smaller airports we don’t currently serve where 140 seats is too much. One of SWA’s biggest weaknesses is that lack of service to airports where a 737 doesn’t make sense.

Bingo. I couldn’t agree more with that assessment. Can’t believe more airlines aren’t hopping all over this plane as it’s somewhat revolutionary in its own way.
