SIM should be required. Thoughts?

I want the full cvr transcripts and fdr data published on both events. I want to know exactly what the pilots did and did not do.

Start there.

Yes, let’s all get training in the nonexistent MAX sim. And then let’s all start working out so we can spin the trim wheel at 400kias and full nose down with the throttles at climb thrust.
That’s the solution.

Just to clarify...I wasn't saying I agree with his SIM requirement. Just stating his position.

Just because he didn't screw up a water landing doesn't make him an expert on all things aviation.

Did he suggest all US Airways Airbus pilots should go through simulator training on how to land on the Hudson after that accident too?

The rumor I heard was that Sully was one of the most avoid-fly with CAs at Airways. Don’t know if that’s true or not.

Frankly had about enough of Sully. One lucky day and he’s suddenly an expert of all things.

Would be nice if they found an “expert” that’s actually flown the Max. Sully did good with his emergency, but he’s also extremely lucky he had a giant river. His idolization is getting old.

Give the man a break; he’s got an industrial consulting business to promote.

And let’s not forget, the manual trim wheel is fully operable if you don’t leave the thrust levers set to takeoff power for the duration of your mishap.
