Required upgrade
 
I seem to remember that WN required a pilot to upgrade to Capt when at a certain seniority percentage as a FO. Someone told me that there were multiple capts that downgraded recently for Qol. Would this be accurate?

There is no mandatory upgrade. CA’s can and sometimes do downgrade

At one time WN required FOs to at least upgrade to Lance Captain but that requirement ended 2 Contracts ago. Now a Pilot can stay an FO his entire SWA career and I know one who did.

One can bypass Lance upgrade. Have to put in one’s preferences.

Oops. Sorry. No mandatory upgrades. At times captns do downgrade.

The Lance program is limited to 1 year if I remember correctly.

Example of a few complainers ruining it for everyone else. Limitations have to be well thought out before WE ask for them.

It is now but in the past you could have stayed a Lance forever,
