Fairly good analysis and summary of what’s happened, but let’s face it. SWA can’t just snap their fingers and switch into another aircraft. That would be years down the road, but an acquisition or merger wouldn’t.

Not sure. The only thing I’m sure of is that someone is buying Spirit.

Will be interesting to see WHACK’s take on an SLI if and when an acquisition takes place. We’ll see if he whines for the underdog, even if it means he loses seniority. Any bets?

Regionals add news types in less than a year (Xjt added the e175 in six months from the deal with UAL). If we could focus on being streamlined and not on making it a bigger deal than it needs to be, I’m sure we could get a new type on line in a reasonable time.
