Not really since you’re probably talking about 2017 or earlier. Let’s look at real numbers, Last year we had 2000+ pilots. 24 left for other airlines, only 5 were Captains. Of those 24 only 2 left for SWA (I’m assuming they are FO). We had as many leave for 135 as for SWA. Let’s not pretend many of our pilots are trying to get out like they are use to especially to SWA.

"Nobody left SW for Spirit" is like saying "Nobody left Delta for SW" or "Nobody quit Harvard to attend M.I.T."
who cares, this means nothing in and of itself. If nobody left Delta for SW, is the latter (SW) then a bad company ? Of course not.
seniority, pilot bases, etc all play a role into things. A guy whose wife is from FLL, has sick parents in a FLL nursing home, and he is a Captain at Spirit, based in FLL, is probably not applying to United. Maybe he is. doubt it.

0 far as I know, but I was responding to the “I know many CA from Spirit who has left for SWA”. That statement no longer applies, which comes from actual numbers. Because SWA gained 2 pilots from us and we gained 0 from them last year doesn’t mean anything, especially only 2 out of 24 left for SWA. Look around and you’ll see many “Should I leave this airline for that airline” post

For example: At SWA you can bid rsv and your guarantee is 89. If they call you out for a rigged 3 day you’re guaranteed 90.5. Let’s say you pick up a 2 day that pays 13. Now you’re at 103.5. You’ve worked 5 days.
I wish I didn’t have to work more to make the same pay as the guy in the Widget 737. Yr 1-5 FO were sold out in the last cycle for whatever reason.
I can pick up 3 days of work and make what my wife would have brought in had she kept her job. Small price to pay for her to stay home with the kids since I no longer have to pay daycare costs, etc.
Longer I’m here the less I work since I’m making more. I only add 2 days a month now. 16 days off for me is plenty....and even with that I’m only away from my bed 8-10 nights a month.
- At United you can pick up on days off on rsv but you don’t go over guarantee. AA from what I’ve been told can’t exceed a certain line value. Delta has green slips and rolling thunder. Different contracts, so most places have some way to augment pay if you choose to do so.
