Serious question... How did that work out for Airtran pilots? I'm new to 121 and wondering exactly what went down when the seniority lists were joined. Have read dozens of mentions and jokes about it but no details.

Waiting to see how this all works out. I am optimistic to be honest, worrying all day will kill ya. I will keep flying until they tell me not too. Hope all is well! Be safe out there.

Thanks. Likewise. How many do you have below you now?

FWIW, I’m fairly optimistic is as well that we can ride this out without furloughing anyone.

Personally, almost 2400. At this point who knows. Next few weeks will be telling. Sorry to hijack the thread folks, Zap will bust my balls for it. This is so dynamic, I hear Dallas is going Apollo 13, trying to find a solution to this madness. Stay safe out their ladies and gents, one day at a time. 🤟🏼😷

When do you think they’ll repaint the Yellow Airbus to the SWA colors?

The short story is the FAT (Former AirTran) pilots won the F'ing lottery by having their 3rd rate airline acquired by a 1st tier airline and then whine about having to pay Uncle Sam the taxes due on their HUGE financial windfall at the expense of the hired not acquired real SWA pilots.

Short enough synopsis for you?

For those new to this.....the above post is meant to trigger Whackmaster and cause him to go to the gym for an angry workout thereby releasing some stress and improving his overall health during this stressful time for all of us.
Whack -- you're welcome, just looking out for your health!

No,

You left out how great the 717 was and than none of the FAT ever even applied to SWA.

Ughh....lots of unique discussions, all with the same ending. Next time someone wants to know about the airtran merger, just read ANY other thread.
