company covid notification thought
So, a friend of mine was notified that they had been "exposed" to a crewmember that tested positive for the funk. My friend was a deadheader at the time and was called by the NOC, so they get time off.
Here's the kicker--they are free to nonrev, just not allowed to work.
So...yes, I think I am in a Twilight Zone episode.

Just because you are allowed to nonrev doesn't mean you should. They also shouldn't go to the grocery store, walk in a crowded space, or lick the mailman. There is some personal responsibility associated with this thing.
It would be absurd to take away an employee's travel privileges (and by extension, their family's) because they are sick for 14 days. Ever deal with the pass bureau? It's like training scheduling on steroids. I would rather go to the DMV any day of the week.

The stews are not allowed to non rev on sick time, nor ramp and ops.
but yeah a little absurd how it's being handled. Had an FA get removed because she worked with someone who tested positive yet we were all good to go because she has yet to test positive. I guess I'll find out next week if I should have been quarantining
