$192k/year to retire early....wish I was a few years older!

If I were 60 or older? Bye Felicia... Even ExTO is very tempting. Wow!

trevtt600 06-01-2020 05:35 AM

Seems like a darn good deal! I feel we will have plenty take this offer; both EXTO and Early outs.

But I do believe if your over 55, full healthcare is only provided for 5 years, or age 65, whichever comes first.

The only pitfall I see is no NEC contribution for the early out (VSP) program.

Yea I didn’t even think I’d take a ETO but 55 tfp a month is not bad ha

and we have 1060 over 60...

my question is if we are to have a full schedule why be so generous?

Because they screwed up the staffing before all this.

Correct. Edited my post

Okay, okay, but the really question is how many slots? That’s what we really need to know. Can I expect 100 pilots above me to be awarded early out or 1000.

For once in my life I wish I was older. I’d take that **** and run!

Yup. We were 1500 pilots over staffed before this happened...

First - this is surprisingly good. Plenty of older guys and folks with other opportunities will take a mix of these leaves. The company will hit their target, whatever that is.

But, I agree with whack. Missing is the number that they are targeting. I think that's probably because it is a moving target right now.

2,000 w/ 1,500 being ExTO? That would be amazing. The more we get gone for good off the top of the list, the better, but I bet they are looking for more ExTOs since they can be recalled.

My wife got laid off just before this Covid mess started. I never thought I would be able to take any kind of ETO or ExTO but if she was still employed, I'd take that for a year or two.
