Default Progressive Auto Insurance anyone?

Looking for opinions on changing from USAA to Progressive auto insurance. Apples to apples is literally $560 less per year with Progressive. Kind of shocking.

Curious what the customer experience is like at Progressive.... do you feel they have your back kinda thing?
USAA does usually do pretty well, at least for me over the years, of taking care of things. But as VSP looms with reduced income, the reality is, its time for some financial changes.

Thanks for your opinions guys.

I ditched USAA for Progressive years ago. No complaints whatsoever.

I have had progressive for years. Was involved in an accident where I was re-ended. We ended up filing on my insurance and Progressive went to subrogation with hers. It was very seamless for me and they took care of the hassle on their side which was Allstate.

No complaints with Flo for 3 years. But I haven’t had to use it...

Thanks for taking VSP, enjoy the time.

We use progressive RV and have no complaints. I think the fact that USAA directs their customers to Progressive for RV insurance lends to their credibility.

My wife had it for a few years. Her truck was violently broken into and destroyed the inside for a stock stereo. All the inside was repaired with junkyard-used stuff and was never right. That being said, we let it happen and went with their "preferred provder."

I have been with Allstate for 30 years and have not any any issues. Used it once, tho. Hit a deer. No problems then.

Default You'll have to get used to one thing.

Progressive won't call you "Captain" "Major" etc. A friend of mine keeps USAA for that reason alone---I kid you not.

Have you factored in your annual Subscriber’s Savings Account distribution into your comparison? When I do that it makes it a wash really to switch from USAA otherwise I would as they are not the cheapest. Been with USAA for 25 years and my annual SSA refund is about $400.

Easy.

Legally changed my first name so Flo would call me Kernal.

We had Allstate for 30 years, no claims. Just changed to Progressive and cut my premium in half.
