JBA gave them up and we snagged them. What more proof do you need that there’s a JBA/SWA marriage in our future?

SWA route structure is a much better fit for LGB than JB’s was.

I’m sure you guys will actually respect the curfew too. This move makes sense for everyone.

WN lost departures in SNA last year. SNA is notoriously difficult and expensive, so I am betting that SWA is pitting these two airports against each other. They both serve the same area.

SWA is super picky about honoring curfews. I have had flights cancel last minute because there was a chance we were going to land after the curfew and they didn't want to have to divert and bus the pax.

....but who will fund the libraries then?

You can’t make these things up.

Jetblue pilots must not be approved for the 'Marriott 4' approach to 30. Eff you noise sensors!

Thats not a issue at LGB, they'd just have to pay a fine to land. I can guarantee you a flight won't cancel just over a fine.

As for SNA vs LGB, its night and day as far as yields and profit go. LGB is a dumpster fire of very low fares. WN giving up on EWR and going all in on LGB is perplexing. So many other now vacant routes and gates to back fill in, and they rush into LGB? good luck.

LUV exited EWR and JBLU expands. What's next?
