Seriously though, MIA I can see. PSP, not so much....

Back in the olden pre Rona days, pretty much everyone was running 80+ load factor out of PSP quite regularly. Wouldn’t be shocked to see PHX-PSP to compete with AA who’s sending RJs in there

Do you think the two healthiest “balance sheet” airlines might be strategically positioning for some post-Covid plans. Makes you wonder.
Any airline that can outlast the big 3 in this epidemic time would be stupid not to try and get some leverage for later. I don’t wish furloughs on anyone (and WN isn’t out of the woods either), but it’s definitely Interesting.

I used to fly into PSP in a former life and never experienced anything like you’re describing. RNO, definitely, PSP? No, certainly no worse than LAS or PHX on a hot day. YMMV.

same here. In a corporate jet. Not any worse than our other stations. An added benefit to originators...

I think for AA they’ll double down on DFW and CLT. DCA is profitable and PHL is important. Everything else? It’s probably up for the taking.

We tried for years fighting the curfews and finally the nail in the coffin of losing the FIS facility. Maybe SW management will be better at greasing the skids and getting customs in LGB.

This should probably be in the other thread, but I think JB and WN have very different expectations for LGB. JB appeared to hope for LGB to be a major component of their eventual west coast presence, whereas WN already owns the intra-CA market, and LGB is just a nice addition to that already established network. I can't see much urgency for WN to push for customs at LGB.
