Lawyer jokes aren't funny
ShyGuy says: You'll never be able to prove where you got the infection from.
The local ambulance chaser advertises that he can get you money if you got cancer from talcum powder. He doesn't have to "prove" anything. He just has to convince a jury---which is tired and wants to go home.

In this case though with how much money is on the line, you're gonna have to have some basis for the claim. There is no way to know for sure. From what I've seen with mask compliance on planes along with HEPA filters and air flow patterns, inside of an airplane is probably the safest place in America (outside of your own Covid-free home).

More evidence the FA (or plural) was being completely unreasonable as the lady was fully complying.

My kid just nonrevved last weekend.
Flight one - cabin crew was strict on masks, customer kept putting mask down below nose, FA kept reminding him. He was getting short with her making snide remarks. Finally the FA made a very loud joke about him being a naughty boy and the teacher having to keep coming back to talk to him. He and other customers laughed. He never pulled the mask down again.
Flight two - same scenario with several customers not complying except FAs were busy watching TV and not caring even when they did do walkthroughs. Customers were clearly uncomfortable.
The cabin crew can make or break how this rule works out. If they enforce it uniformly and with common sense (giving a 2 year old snacks and drinks) and use humor and empathy, it will be a great success. If they ignore it or do not enforce it uniformly, it becomes a problem.

You are totally right. CNN has truly become the antítesis of what a professional standards journalism organization should be. It has become so slanted, so biased, so out of bounds that it has also become irrelevant. This story only serves to sensationalize the news cycle and create fear.
