Default Check company email for call to action

Check your company email or swalife for a call to action re: contacting senators and representatives and requesting an extension to PSP through the end of March.

Only takes a few minutes.

Not saying its right or wrong but what are the strategic advantages for SW if a deal isn't done? What are the disadvantages?
I think this is a good conversation to have and am genuinely curious.
I'm talking about the company not about what's better/worse for the pilots.

If GK is asking us to go ask for money, chances are we need it to save jobs. #KeepDean

I wrote my representatives asking for money because Kelly thinks it's a good idea. He's tired of bleeding 20 million a day. Kelly has said on several occasions "if this continues, you can do the math". Well, it has continued, revenue is down 70% and we are probably 3000 pilots fat. Our no government money battle plan probably looks something like United's. The race to zero cash burn will start in October if cares 2 doesn't pass.

I guess if Gary is asking then they dont see the industry returning to more normal by next summer and they are trying survive. Otherwise I'd argue it may be better for no one to get a bailout and SW could use its cash and credit rating to wait out the others.
however, not having a bailout might force others into bankruptcy and that would be worse for SW due to the cost advantages going forward for those in bankruptcy.
sw could also not take the bailout if they see the industry returning by next summer, force the others to take the bailout so they cant declare bankruptcy, then sw uses their cash and credit to be aggressive etc.

Do you really think the rest would continue to burn cash if one legacy folded? I don't.

do you think that if one did go under there would be enough pax to keep everyone else afloat?
I dont have the numbers to figure that one out.
itd be interesting if that was the case. Personally I think there are still too few pax to go around even with one major gone.

Yes, and Gary does too. Otherwise he wouldn’t be asking for more money. Why do you think he is lobbying so hard?

Did you fill out your call to action?
