If you don’t think there are a bunch of mouth breathing, retirement gig goobers here who would vote for something similar….think more clearly.

1221 for one thing. Also, I just flew with an FO that’s a new hire mentor that has access to the list of NHs and what their backgrounds are. Out of a class of 61, only 2-3 were AF and only one was a Marine. The rest were all corporate, regional, other major, etc. Hate to say it but when you don’t have a 20 year military retirement that gets deposited every month, you tend to have more “fight” in you when it comes to contracts. That’s been my direct observation over the last 24 years in this biz. Sorry, basic human nature and psychology. |

In the end, it’s just gonna cost them more. But being a part of the check of the month club helps… |
Anyone hear that during management brief in a recent recurrent class they said no way we get retro?

Ours will probably include a Sam's Club basic membership so you can buy your own bag. I have low expectations but high demands for our contract. We have that 38% yessie.

It’s got to be a minute proportion that are actually receiving pension payments. The rest of us are just quitters like me and definitely have a learning curve when it comes to company-union dynamics…but we’ve got skin in the game same as everyone else. |
