Log book review

I have an upcoming interview with SW and I was looking over the prep document. Under the log book section it ask that you tab your type rating entries. I like many others have an electronic log book and I don't actually log any of the simulator time I have including any new hire recurrent training I've done. Has anyone had an issue with the before? I've gotten two type ratings with two different 121 carriers and all the paper has been processed via iacra.

Since its electronic just go in and make a simulator entry on the date and put the type rating in the comments section. Should be easy to add.

What he said. It's your logbook and while you may not count the time to your totals, you need something showing the what and when of your career and last I checked, that's the logbooks sole purpose. Just make an additional SIM column and tell your program not to count SIM time towards total time if you don't want the numbers skewed.

That was my plan i just wasnt sure if it would be an issue not having the FAA simulator id

Keep your papers you have backing up the entries. Any chance you can reach out to the group you did it with?

If you have time to request your FAA records, or already have them, I believe the completed 8710 will have the sim ID on it

I have the same issue except, I don’t have an electronic logbook. All of my logbooks are paper. I also didn’t log the sim time for my type ratings. What should I do in this case? Should I tab where I would’ve gotten the type in my logbook?

You can request your training records from the sim facility and then add a line entry

What do you mean add a line entry? A couple of my types are a logbook ago. Also, is an 8710 necessary if you don’t have the type in your logbook? They don’t ask for it in the email

I did my interview 6+ years ago but I just added a tab in my paper logbook where the type rating would have been. If it’s a part 121 type rating, it’s kinda easy to see since you’ll have a large time gap (ground school foot print) between actual flights. I just explained this is where the type rating happened but I don’t log sim time in my logbook.
