On a side note SWA just hired a lobbyist in DC for the first time in years. I have insight into some public hearings coming down the way so they must see the same and are trying to circle the wagons.

This is a FZRA in North Texas issue. And AA does have 170 CX for the day so far as a result. Weather happens. The question will be in the recovery.

What’s going on is, your management sucks. You can only ride on coattails for so long.

When they say, “The Event,” just know that they mean that they had a personal event, and couldn’t let their job. Herb is rolling over, spinning really.

To listen to these *******s on the conference call as they minimized what happened at Christmas as if their was no real explanation….comical really. If you weren’t impacted. The Event.

This is what we get when the society we live in believes that government is the only way to solve problems and then congress feels empowered go beyond Article 1 section 8 to try and solve all of societies problems. Remember the new law congress enacted a few years back about fining airlines $27400 per pax on an airplane with excessive tarmac delays. The DOT has collected 10s if not hundreds of millions of dollars from all us airlines ( air line if you’re Delta) since enacting new protections for passengers.

For every action, …

Get to work and do not worry about it. CS must have it all covered ,as they were burning up all the reserves yesterday and not assigning POT.

I may be speaking off cuff, did this weather just drop from the moon last night ? If so I stand corrected .

I saw someone reporting ceilings below 3k and ILS out of service at LAS, causing almost 100 cancels. Apparently RNAV approaches don't work when the ILS is OTS even when winds are nearly calm so every single runway is available.

LAS counts on visual separation for both arrival and departure traffic. Any clouds, even FEW below 3000AGL and traffic rates drop by 50%.
