Calculated earlier today, 1.33 per day so far in May. We need AA to move, then UA behind them will put even more pressure along with a successful SAV.

Plus the FAs and rampers to get their contracts done.

5 more just disappeared from yesterday to today from the bottom end of the seniority list. I agree that these numbers aren’t enough to make management desperate, especially with the reduction of Maxes from the initial 100 to 70 now. But, it should definitely be a wakeup call that we are losing far more pilots to AA, UAL, DAL than they are losing to us. This has to be an ego hit at the very least. This shows the free market at work, and hopefully that combined with the SAV results are enough to show undoubtedly that the leverage is on our side.

If there was ever a reason to make the jump
to a legacy it would be now with the retirements and growth. I’m sure many just can’t look away from this historic opportunity, hence the unprecedented attrition at SWA. You’ve already missed the front hiring wave at UAL. AA is apparently gearing up for over 60 new hires per WEEK. At Delta we’re hiring 200 pilots a month until the end of the year? Maybe? Because last year we were suppose to slow down around this time, now we want over 18,000 pilots.

SWA is a great company but if you’ve been on property for less than a few years idk why you wouldn’t make the move. I’m surprised your attrition isn’t greater.

Some people don’t want to commute….ever. Or live where legacies have bases.

and some people like me are just too lazy. I mean how many more millions do I really need? I won't notice the difference between retiring with 10 million or 12. And I'd have to learn to call it gear again just when I was getting "landing gear" down.
And what if I forgot and set zeros on an approach in the sims...I mean someone's head might literally explode. Its really about safety that I not make the move.
