FAs have an AIP...

Just need 1more to AIP (555 I think) and then they'll get to the meat and potatoes of this cycle.

I hope they turn it down. They surrender too easily. They'll take more hourly $$ but not even look at the things they will still be doing at work while off the clock.

Agreed. They need to shoot this down, especially if it’s a low ball offer like I’ve heard.

Also, they need to push for actual cleaners to clean the cabin every so often throughout the day and not just at night. Our whole operation is becoming more and more of an embarrassment IMO.

Truth. By the end of the day these airplanes are filthy. It shouldn’t fall to the crew to tidy them between legs.

The rates are leaked on the SWAPA forum. 12.6% DOS, then 3, 3, 3, 3. It compounds to 26.73%.

They'll take it. Signing bonus plus no "work for benefits" rules means they'll get 2/3 of the votes they need off the bat. Rates make them "industry leading" again.
The stews that are here mid career will vote no. The older crowd on the ROAD program and the younger crowd will vote yes. Personally, I could care less what another work group gets or doesn't get. Cleaners weren't even in their ask. They, quite simply, don't care and their union is awful.

They get what they ask for. I talked with a couple on the bus a little while ago about their negotiation progress. Both claimed the union was asking too much from the company and that's why it was taking so long. "I've been here 20+ years and we've always gotten 6 or 7% every cycle. I heard we're asking for 30%, which is just crazy. The company will never give us that, and if they did it would bankrupt the operation".

They did both mention they wished they had unity more like the pilots...but it didn't take more than a bus ride from the employee lot to make it apparent that they're certainly a completely different labor group.

Management proposed 12.6 and TWU 18%. The union's economist told the group they "wanted" to propose 22% but the mediator felt they needed to move closer to where SWA was at the time. It's too low.

Hopefully, their board votes it down.

Did they get Crew Meals? That was one of their asks since they cannot get off the plane and eat like we can. If they didn't then we probably have a uphill battle again to justify to the management morons of an industry standard.
