MCO QOL
Hello! Hoping any MCO pilots can share their typical schedule and QOL! Have a class date and I hope to get MCO out of training as I live in South Florida. Would like to hear what it’s like. Thanks in advance.

In a nutshell, per the company, pilot QOL is no benefit to the company. |

Way to be almost helpful...
We are getting NH into MCO. SO if you do get, you'll get 1 or more months of a hard line, then onto a month or 2 of weekend reserve, then a month or 2 of blank lines, then weekend hard lines. Thats if the current trends continue. If you live within 1.5 hours of MCO reserve is easy. If you live 2 plus away it gets to be a pain. I live over in Tampa and occasionally commute up to BWI or MDW because I get sick of I4. YMMV. But yes, pilot QOL is of no benefit to the company. |

🔥👇 I think company negotiators might be under the impression that the NMB’s “expected” answer at this time, is a win for them. I feel it’s more of a win for Delta, United, and American. And, if people bail, they aren’t doing it because of negotiations “fatigue.” They’re doing it because of timing and the prospect of a better overall career. |

I’ve been Orlando based for my entire first year at SWA. I’ve not held a “hard line” a single month. Reserve - 5 months Blank lines ever since then. Had a line in the blanks for 2 months. Now with the amount of new hires coming in I’m being pushed down in seniority because they get a hard line their first month, I’m back to reserve/ bottom blank holder. Perhaps the times will change but I wouldn’t count on holding a line in your first year in Orlando. That being said I just moved to LAS base and I have a Tues Wed Thurs line with 18 days off. 1 year anniversary in a few days… |
if you look at CWA. go to displays, crew member assignments, leave the name part blank and just put MCO, FO you will get all mco, fos. Just pick a random guy or two with a number close to what you want to know and look at his schedule. And while you are online, fill out an AA app. This is not a happy place.
