Default Latest Jr bases, How long to a line, Parking

I curious how the basing is going right out of training. Is everyone getting whichever base they want now right out of training?

What bases are the most junior for holding a line? (I know this has been asked in the past, trying to get most recent info).

Commuting from FLL, what would be a good base? Is parking paid for for commuters or only for people who live at a base?

Thanks, any help appreciated.

parking isn’t paid or provided for anybody except maybe in Dallas. Bwi seems to be where most new hires go for a month. For the most part any base available after a few months. Because bwi gets all the new hires it may be a long time to a line there right now.

New hires take a hard line their first month. Hard to figure what the most jr base is for line holding. Prob take 6-8 mos to hold a line at a minimum…blanks earlier.

I’ll be commuting from FLL as well. When is your training date?

Just have an interview scheduled. They haven't offered me the job yet.

Got your stuff into the Big 3? Things are not all roses here at SWA. I can’t tell you how many new people I’ve flown with that are p!$$ed that they fell for the SWA trap.

The employee lots are off the northwest end of the field with shuttle buses that run every 15 minutes to the terminal. Those cost $25/month. Some choose to park in the economy lot, which is $70/month I believe. Those two options cover the majority of pilots. I've also heard of people using the hotel center's lot and shuttle, or having agreements with crashpad owners for a parking space that's walkable. The best is when you get move-up or short call-out on reserve, daily parking is reimbursed by the company in that instance, and it's a 3-minute walk to the KCM line.
