737 pay is whatever you negotiate it to be. UPS 757 pay is the same as 747 pay.

If we say 12 yr CA 737 pay is $380/hr then that’s what it is. If the OAL’s are flying the same plane for less…that’s their problem…they should’ve negotiated for more. NB pilots work harder than WB and should be paid accordingly.

For year 1 CA pay maybe. 12 yr CA needs to be around $400/hr. (I just pulled a number out of my rear without looking at any pay scales). My point is that we can negotiate whatever we want and if that's way ahead of everyone else....too bad....they had their chance and blew it. We shouldn't have to settle because of it.

Not saying I disagree with your number, because I think it’s in the ballpark (between 737-8 and 757 pay at end of contract at United). If we are unrealistic and intransigent though, what do you suppose the mediator’s response would be?

Again, I’m not saying your number is unreasonable. I think it is about where we need to be. This group is demanding the moon and the stars though. I think that is dismissive of the fact that we asked for mediation and it comes with some pros and some cons. The con being that the mediator’s whole job is to put his thumb on the scale and move us towards a deal.

Personally, I’ll read the whole thing cover to cover, go to a roadshow, talk it over with my wife, and cast my one single vote. Hopefully 11000 others will do the same with an open mind and no preconceived notions. To do any less isn’t fair to Jodie, Kurt, and Damien who just spent the last 3+ years (and more if you count the surveys on every section of the contract they started shortly after the last CBA was signed). I don’t care how you vote, but to decide today before you’ve even seen the product seems a little absurd to me. I’m supposed to be the negative one. I’m the one ya’ll call “Eeyore”. But you’ve already decided this contract that our team has been working tirelessly towards for years is garbage? How about we assume positive intent and see what they come up with?

Limiting pay rates to airframe is straight from the management playbook on union busting.

Give them an artificial constraint on their worth, and they will never ask for more.

The truth is this place is bringing in record revenue every quarter.

Demand industry leading CAREER COMPENSATION and get paid what you are worth!

Oh I’m definitely reading/watching/attending any and all education events after readying through multiple times before voting.

Last road show I was at in ‘16 I asked why FO yr 1-5 was so much lower than OAL’s since I was disappointed with it. If we are offered something where we are drastically behind the others….its probably a no vote for me. We shouldn’t be behind anyone in this environment…we either meet or exceed or it won’t pass. I think the NC knows this and won’t send us something like they did in ‘16

Remember TA1 and who came up with that turd? Yup those negotiators worked hard and tirelessly also. TA2 was lagging the day it was signed. Yet both were sold at the road shows. Worse yet JW publicly announced his vote. Even though plenty of us non reader NO types tried to show the turd both were. The SWApA sales job was in full force.

Hoping we all go through it with a fine tooth comb and speak loudly about anything fishy. UAL rescinded their Tumi TA after backlash from pilots and they ended up with something much better.
