I’m in the industry and I have no idea who you are talking about.

The average pax does not care about some woman’s YouTube channel

I agree they don't care; just like I don't, but to act like its innocuous is a bit off the mark. Did you see/hear (from non-pilots) any $hitty comments about pilot influencers after the chick rolled the CRJ? I did. Now that individual may not have had cringey social content at all, but some of the comments were along the lines of, less attention to insta, more attention to being able to land a jet.

That pilot - whether one of the cringey influencers or not - is remotely tied to the BS. So I disagree that it is 100% without damage to our profession.

Well when ya are crew on a CRJ that slams to the point it disassembles itself and rolls, you could have an only fans or help orphans, you and your co workers are going to catch a ton of public **** regardless

The average pax does not care about some woman’s YouTube channel, the average pax couldn’t pick their CA&FO out of a line up, the crew is not interesting to them…at all

The average pax is concerned with:

The screaming child behind them
The fatty overflowing into their seat
WTF that smell is
The plane being delayed/broken again
Being molested by the smurfs again
The big flight attendants ass rubbing them every time they walk back
Not having room for their approved carry on
Etc

You forgot about the wifi that isn’t working.

And the SWA Gate Agent yelling at them militantly before boarding begins.

Totally missed my point, but it doesn’t matter. It’s totally personal opinion. You think these tools do nothing to the image of the industry overall, and I disagree with that sentiment. At the end of the day, management, for the most part, seems to love them, so they aren’t going anywhere regardless.

Most pilots could wear pajamas and the pax wouldn’t notice, we got these security doors too, and NO ONE CARES

From a pax standpoint the airlines are a race to the bottom, all the things I mentioned are why riding a airliner went from a prestigious event to riding a metro bus in the publics opinion

Most pax view airline travel as a needed evil in their schedule, thinking they are searching out airline pilot vblogger videos is LAUGHABLE, frankly if they could teleport themselves to where they have to go and avoid our whole industry they would…in a heartbeat

These days airlines are a metro bus as far as most every non pilot is concerned, get on and get off as fast as you can and get on with your day

The above post is 100% spot-on. This is exactly how the majority of flyers feel.

Not sure where you’re getting this idea that I think pax are spending their days watching our social media tools. Maybe you missed it when I agreed with you, and wrote…

All I was saying in my comment - which is only my opinion - is that I was agreeing with the guy you disagreed with when he said she’s an embarrassment to the industry. To THOSE OF US IN THE INDUSTRY. Yes pax don’t give a $hit; yes, race to the bottom; yes, greyhound bus. And these tools do more to perpetuate those opinions than stop them.

Only my opinion; just commenting. You have yours. No need to try so hard to tell me I’m wrong.

Maybe it’s because of the 2 days beard growth, tattoos , and backpacks.
