Depends on the month and where you're based.

Winter months are easier to clear your board. But conversely there are less options for you to pick up. Summer months are more difficult as there is more flying happening in general. If your trip isn't total dog**** and you post it as soon as TTGA opens you'll have a much better chance of dropping it.

If you are in a commuter base it will be difficult for you to offload trips unless you have highly desirable trips because most people are trying to do the same thing as you. If you you're in a base with a lower amount of commuters (like DAL for example), there are more greedy bastards local and available to pick up your trips or reserve blocks.

I am 98% FO in DAL. I can generally convert my weekend trips/reserve blocks into weekday starts maybe 50% of the time reliably. Try not to work on the 24th, ELITT is your friend.

Figured as much. New guy. Not done with training. But live in a base with heavy displacements

Honestly, I've no idea. I have no clue what I can hold out there and there's a ton of us commuting to LAS who will have everything in give away. I'm going to try to elitt down to 2 days or commutable trips and see if anyone bites, but so will everyone else.

Yeah but your displaced brothers and sisters will be bidding straight/premium so there won’t be any VDT…

Look at the DEN captain net zero. I've never seen a FEB month like this. A net zero of 1 or 2 used to be gold.

How often are non DEN crews overnighting in DEN? Which base has the most DEN overnights?

It’s Ben like that before. The funny thing is that high net zero with all the red days.

10 years in DEN and I’ve never seen a net zero of 97, let alone 7 day into the month.

Need some snow to create some OT…

It hit over a hundred a few times on the CA side. Maybe before you upgraded. CA side has been much different than the FO side.

I remember on the FO side it got into the 30-50 range during Covid. Lots of CA’s cleared their boards and now are panicking trying to get their 150 tfp. Lots of straight bids, picking up out of elitt, TTGA is pretty bare.

Feb in Denver with 60° temps is weird. Usually we have a weekly snowstorm that shakes things up. Been too dry for too long and that doesn’t help slow months either.

Be interesting to see if March is the same or goes back to normal.
