Why did the AirTran FAs even agree to this deal?

The real question is why did the SWA F/As agree. The 2.5 year bump doesn't apply to ATL where it will be straight DOH. In the SLI SWA agrees to make ATL a F/A base by Jan 2015. Also AirTran F/As get 1st Right of Return at ATL and MCO.

My guess is SWA FA's just don't care about ATL---it's already staffed with AirTran.

SWA F/A's probably agreed because a 2.5 year bump could be the difference between 2nd tier and 1st tier at a base. Like having a line 24/7 vs reserve cycles. Also, I think that both F/A groups were smart enough to learn from the mistakes of voting down an agreement.....aka The idiot MEC's from the AirTran side. Plus I am sure that just like the company, the F/A's also want to get the integration over with. Just my .02
