I don't care about the where or why.........we cant afford to bulldoze ANY runway in this Country.

Meigs = complete loss. With few exceptions like DEN Int'l to replace Stapleton and the new NW FL field next to Panama City, we are losing way too many airports.....very sad.

Only people who have to compete against SWA hate them. Record profits say their pax LUV them.

I doubt SWA is scared of the legacies. Them good old Texas boys don't scare easily. They have cash, are making record profit, and can always file bankruptcy like all the real airlines did and skip out on their debt. It's a beautiful thing.

Record profits? Bumped by including the former Air Trans operation? AA mentioned record profits but on a percentage basis it was lower than it had been in the past.

The legacies used to trail SW's profit margins. For 2013, and maybe 2012, DL and US profit margins are close to ahead with UA/AA(2013) fairly close.

JB's numbers(profit margins) trail everyone else. Hardly a sign of future strength.

Very easy to post "record profits" when you don't pay your debts. A sleazy way of doing business.

You think Delta isn't paying down its debt now, or are you referring to the bankruptcy? They have paid off 3 billion $$ in debt since then. Seems like your statement is wrong.

Ask the businesses that Delta owes money to.

Provide documentation please. Per official numbers, DL has reduced it's debt by a good 3 billion dollars.

Reducing debt doesn't always mean paying debt. You can reduce debt through a structured settlement without ever paying a dime.

I think he is talking about DAL choosing to go the bankruptcy route and getting out of its contracts or debt. Kind of like our contract. If I remember correctly one of our sideletters (either 46 or 51) to help out the company gave them $1 Billion a year in concessions.
