Ambush polling, full of leading questions, is the most effective way to garner the 50%+1 vote result, and gives SWApA the excuse that "polling results told us that this is what they wanted". Rinse and repeat.

Thanks. Hope you told them industry standard retirement.

I told them that if they give the 12 year captains an additional two fiddy per trip and give us two extra GDOs, I am a yes. Oh, and a freezer with otter pops in the lounges.

ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY---i HATE THIS SYSTEM---ambush polling is a perfect term for it---getting me on the phone when i got a handful of snowblower, middle of grocery store, etc ---ticks me off--gotta do it right then---give me a break--how come a bunch of guys can put together a cogent document/list on a blog site (airlinepilotcentral)with SWAPA pilots adding and subtracting in a collaborative effort, but we cant put a website like that together for all of us at SWAPA. and put together a list in a slow, thoughtful, deliberate, and collaborative process.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts and is for the most part what I said. I also tried to emphasize how important the flexibility of scheduling is to QOL and how this TA threatened that from multiple angles (subsets, red eye ELITT, Lance program, PBS MOU). Call was completely out of the blue and quite frankly, I hadn't even thought of all the things in the TA I disliked in over three weeks. I agree, website polling would be far more beneficial in giving us more time to collect our thoughts.
