The sheet SWA provides lists 5 hotels....is there a preferred hotel near the airport which a little networking can be made? TIA

The Doubletree Love Field. They have a shuttle to/from the terminal and SWA HQ.

I intentionally avoided the typical SWA hotels to avoid any potential missteps. Why make your interview any longer than necessary?

Seriously? I stayed at the DT Love Field, rode the bus back to the hotel after my interview. It was filled with guys going through recurrent and upgrade training. They knew exactly what I just finished doing and invited me down to the bar to have a few beers. Paid for the beers and dinner. Unless you laugh like a donkey or become an idiot after one or two beers, you will be fine. Have fun and enjoy the experience. Good luck!

This. There will be plenty of opportunity to have the guys buy you a beer once you have the job.

Keep your head down. Enjoy the interview -- it really is a great experience. Second only to jetBlue in terms of making the interview as enjoyable an experience as is possible. But don't make your interview any longer than it needs to be. It's not worth the gamble.

Thanks for the hints, but, I'd prefer to hangout and make sure the crews who are on property are the type of guys I want to make a career with. Not sweating the interview process....

Don't forget your hardhat...for the DT construction, that is.

Don't carry a picket sign into your interview and you'll be fine. I would not worry about the hotel.
