So that means I was hired, but they didn’t tell me? Ha!!
Is there anyone to email about this or should I just show up at the interview date? Thanks

Has anyone on here found a link that describes what the 737 FO duties at Southwest are?

When they open an application window, the job posting will spell it out. The job posting will be located here (when it opens) https://www.southwest.com/html/about...positions.html

There are two websites required to apply at SWA. The one I just linked to and SWA.pilotcredentials.com

That is funny! I wonder what would happen if you picked one? 🤔

All hiring interviews are done for the year. They are expected to hire 900 pilots for 2018. I hope to be one of those hired.

Literally, your job is to do what the captain tells you, fly the airplane if he dies, unless another captain is on board to take over, and run the air conditioning. Can’t believe we get $69 per TFP for this...
From the FOM:
The First Officer’s duties and responsibilities include the following:
● Exercise Second-in-Command duties. Assume, secondarily, all
responsibilities of the Captain. Should the Captain become incapacitated
during flight, assume command of the aircraft. If another Southwest Airlines
Captain or Lance Captain is onboard, they should subsequently take
command of the aircraft, depending on the circumstances.
● Advise the Captain of deviations from established policies, procedures,
and/or regulations.
● Assist the Captain in preflight planning.
● Perform other duties assigned by the Captain.
● Normally, the First Officer controls cabin and flight deck temperature and air
flow for Passenger and Crew comfort.

I read books and watch movies and get paid.

Per A.K., hiring has been revised down to 700 for next year with the option for a few more classes if needed. First hand.

We also have to make PA's. As a newbie fresh from a long stint in corporate I'd have to say it's probably the most terrifying aspect of the job. And when you transmit your entire pre-flight PA on ramp control in ATL, well, it just doesn't get any better than that.
