Be smart

I would like to remind everyone to be smart. Or more appropriately to not be an idiot.

In my discussions out on the line the majority are doing their status quo. That could be either flying a lot or flying a little. Many others are following ALPA's plea to do what we can to help the operation run smoothly. Thus, ensuring the company is forced to the negotiating table. Our ALPA leadership has been very clear on this. I personally believe this is the quickest path to TA, as do many others.

Although I have not personally met anyone on the line that has a "I ain't doin nuthin till we get a contract" attitude, I'm sure you are out there. I can't tell you what to think or what to do, but I would like to ask you to keep your opinions to yourself when posting on a public forum. You do not represent the group, and you are putting our negotiations at potential risk.

Are you getting MUP for this post? You should follow you own posting rules. Sounds like you're out picking up open time to me. High five! Atta boy! You're stirring the pot!

Clearly you work for a different airline than I....

When in this position, I always found operating the jet exactly by the Company's operating manual was most effective. More can be accomplished in your seat than out of it.

Are you guys serious? Stop already.

OneAndDone 06-25-2017 10:22 AM

You guys have to be the dumbest animals around. The company is literally baiting this group into sticking their foot in their mouth with TRO crap, and you big mouths come on here and do exactly that.

Now to counter out your stupidity....

Every pilot I fly with realizes that the best way to a deal is to continue to follow the directions of the MEC as it pertains to the TRO. Every pilot I fly with realizes that the path to a contract is at the table.

Mods...can you save some from their stupidity and close this thread. I'm sure the company riddle intern has already taken notes.

Posted YESTERDAY, in the now-closed negotiations thread:

It has been reported (several times) that there is a TRO issued against Spirit pilots, and some of the justifications used in court were direct quotes from pilot forums, such as this.

While the role of the Moderator is to encourage good-natured (even if "spirited" ) debate and/or discussion on a variety of aviation topics, (within the guidelines that APC has established), it does not normally include matters of law.

However, since free internet webs cannot screen users for common sense, or just "how to not be a public idiot," I am closing this thread out of caution to prevent further company actions.

It seems some people can't help repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot, by shooting off their mouths.

Start a new thread if you like. But if any post smells of an illegal work action, that poster will be banned.....and the thread closed again.

Be smart. Lawyers are sneaky.

And I sincerely hope you get a good contract.
Strike Two.
