Spirit Employee?

The 72 hours prior is only for Spirit employees, isn't it? I thought offline could only do 24 hours in advance.

Nope offline can list 72hrs as well. Of course if a Spirit pilot list after them the Spirit pilot still gets priority on the JS.

The time of listing for offline is irrelevant. Offline goes by time of check-in at the gate for "priority" regardless of when the listing was created.

That is not correct. If you have only offline pilots list, the one that list the first get priority. They have till 15 minutes prior to push to show up to the gate and check in. ( check the FOM). Trust me this was a life saver for me when I was commuting for my former airline from DFW to ORD.:)

I'm bored enough tonight to look it up. Check out FOM .151, second paragraph says they are cleared based on their time of check-in. When an NK pilot lists first we "book" the jumpseat and it's ours unless not present at the required time. Offline listing is just saving the gate agents keystrokes, but the time stamp at check-in is their seniority.

I think that is talking about other airline employees that are not authorized to ride the JS. Hey I could be wrong again, but I do know that when I used it when I was at XJT I showed up a few times with another offline JS already checked in, but since I listed first they said the JS was mine. ( now this was about 3 to 4 years ago)

Spirit pilots go by time of listing and offline by time of check in at the gate. This has been stated by the jumpseat committee countless times. It’s up to us to know the rules because the gate agents don’t always follow the appropriate order.

For OFFLINE. My understanding is priority is based on check in time. Which means you can check in within the 24 hrs on the Spirit's site. What if offline pilot A checks in online first but pilot B hasn't check in but showed up to the gate first. Wouldn't the first guy get it because he "checked in" first?

As far as I know, offline pilots can’t check in online anymore. There were too many fake listings, so it has to be done at the gate.
