T-Mobile

Hey just wondering if any Spirit guys have T-Mobile. I’m thinking of switching, but I’d like to know how well it works at the various airports and hotels we go to. I have AT&T now...

Thanks,

RK

I have 9 lines on T-mobile, veteran discount and spend 202 a month. The coverage isn't as good outside of metro areas like Verizon, but fine within. As for dropped calls, it happens mostly driving around the airport.

Hope that helps.

I’ve got it and am happy with it. Coverage is good, not quite as expansive as AT&T or Verizon but still good enough that I never regret switching. I particularly enjoy the international benefit of unlimited text and data and .20/min calls. Plus the free WiFi on gogo when commuting or deadheading on another carrier. T-Mobile Tuesdays is nice, definitely not a main reason to switch, but I do like that their customer satisfaction is a priority.

Man I'm just about to switch from AT&T to Verizon. I was happy for years, but the last 3 months the coverage has been atrocious. Particularly in buildings.

I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile 2 years ago and haven't regretted it once. As all the above have said, coverage is great just as long as you don’t go out to middle of no where places. Always get a good strong signal at all of our overnights. And having everything completely unlimited as well as the gogo WiFi for commutes or dh makes it well worth it.

Are they still offering to buyout your Verizon contract? Verizon is unbelievably overpriced and I’m about done considering T-Mobile is unlimited for a fraction of the cost

My T-Mobile is ok. At the DEN long hotel, I have no service in the rooms of the Plaza building. Seems to work ok everywhere else. The service isn’t as good as Verizon, but it’s a lot cheaper. I would say it’s a lower tier of service:D

Does t-mobile have wifi calling? I use the wifi calling when the mobile service is poor (Verizon user).

Works good lasts long time.

Do we get a t mobile discount that works with the unlimited plans? I've got a Verizon discount through my wife's work, but it does not apply to the unlimited plan.

Usually the wonderful phone carriers offer a discount only on the base plan. Not sure what plan or discount your wife has, but I've had the military discount with Sprint and Verizon (soon switching to T-Mobile I think), and it really only saves me 10% of around 40-50 bucks... so I save a few dollars. That's it. I just LOVE how they have mandatory data plans for smartphones. That's how they get you.

Service is slow/non-existent in the employee parking lot at ORD.....makes signing in on the phone, not possible.

I went back to Verizon after I was in LAX one day right when D.O.T. opened up (previous company) and had no service, even though I was showing 4 bars 4GLTE. Sure it's more costly but I have unlimited data that works pretty much everywhere and it makes life a helluva lot easier.
