Not trying to distract from TA, but

Scary stuff. Great job crew. Few years ago in a 175 I started down way early and quick for that reason.
“Multiple sick victims appearing simultaneously is CO poisoning until proven otherwise. (Due to their higher metabolic rate, small children passing out may be the canaries in the coal mine.) Do the following immediately: 1) Flight crew to don oxygen; 2) Release oxygen masks for passengers and cabin crew; 3) Descend; 4) Depressurize aircraft when able; 5) Medical evaluation on landing for all those affected; 6) All pregnant passengers and those with chest pain or pre-existing cardiac problems need longer high flow oxygen treatment and must be evaluated in an emergency department. CO is the most common cause of poisoning death, and can leave survivors with lifelong disability. “. BA and KLM are taking their companies to court over this. Not a lot of traction yet in the US. Easyjet is installing filters on their oxygen systems and the 78 / A-350 have completely redesigned their system. None of them won’t admit why... Things that make you go hmmmmmmm |

This is fake news.... the crew all did go to the hospital. No pax were affected and the pilots went home shortly after the hospital visit with no symptoms.

Not to mention the EASA just issued an emergency AD for certain P&W GTF variants for their habit of shutting down in flight and during T.O.

Yeah, and the aircraft is now grounded in LAS after engine vibrations..
“Fake” Were the vibrations connected to the fume event? I was commenting on the severity of the event compared to what was reported here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
