Not sure how we lost BA, I imagine the agreement was heavily lopsided with Spirit employees using BA passes much more than vice-versa. All I know is that ID75s on BA were an option when I went to Europe last Summer and by the end of the year when I went back, this was no longer an option.

Spirit has one of the poorest travel benefits.
No legacies, no major Asian airlines.
Try going to Japan though Canada or Australia.
Are Frontier benefits this bad?
It's not just the other airlines "fault", it's mostly our nonexistent travel bureau. Plus it must not be a high priority for our pilot group, since there was no mention of travel benefits during 30 months of negotiations.

Pretty much. Although we just got BA added to our list. Go figure.

Even when we had BA it wasn't the greatest. If I remember correctly you had to book it through the travel department and were limited to two tickets per year or something like that. I called the travel department to ask them about BA one time and they told me to just email them my questions and then hung up. Never got a response from my email either.......

I’ve been here since Sept of 17 and can’t get them to put my wife on Spirit non-rev travel. I’ve emailed numerous times to numerous departments, called HR twice and spoke to someone each time. I’ve sent our marriage certificate two times but just can’t seem to get it done. It seems to be hit and miss because others in my class have their significant others on travel benefits.

Pffft.. buy her a ticket. Last time mine traveled standby on us, she got stuck in DTW for 3 days. AA has great last minute deals, since she'd have to be flexible anyways, many times as low as $58-68 bucks. Just a thought.

Oh and we don't have "departments", we have "people".

She’s AA so we have AA flight benefits. It’s the principle of the thing. I was told about flight privileges with spirit when I was hired. They hold my feet to the fire and that goes two ways. We may never use it but it is a benefit that was promised to me.
