NFS. I was wondering if that was actually true until some MF'er left me an airplane in DFW with no APU running and an 88 degree cabin. ..!.,

Common courtesy for your union brother/sister during plane swaps:
Shades closed, flight deck temp 70-74F max, screens dimmed,
clean up your mess, seats forward, brake temp <300C.

I agree with all of this, except I was told on OE that the screens don't really need to be dimmed anymore since none of our planes have CRTs. LCD screens generate very little heat and the heat generated is not affected much by just dimming.

Dimming the screens is one of silliest cultural norms at Spirit. Have no idea what the point is.

Makes me laugh when I get in a plane and the screens are dimmed! LCD screens do not burn in either!

Don't leave the plane to your fellow pilot without AC. Either start the APU and turn on the bleed, or wait it out for the ground crew to hook it up. Imagine how profit sharing would motivate some!

If you dim the radar I hope a donkey kicks you in the balls one day!

Comes from the MD-80 days when they had CRT's. CRT's generate a lot of heat and also can burn in.
