It's bad enough to think that, rather unacceptable to actually say it to your fellow pilot.
Management loves these types...

Why is this exactly? The company owed all of us the new rates from August 2015. If a guy was only here at the end why should he get an equal share of guys walking the (info) picket line etc for the entire time?

Where did he say equal? Oh that's right, he didn't. He said the guy was a tool because he believed the FO didn't deserve a single dollar if it took away from his own pocket. It's the ******* everyone else as long as I get mine mentality

At first I thought he was joking but the look on his face I figured out pretty quick he was serious. Whatever. I know it wasn’t the number everyone wanted but after a year of $38/hr and albeit a small part of the whole process the Spirit pilots went through I don’t feel as though I screwed someone. The thing that bothered me was he was kind of nasty about it.

The bonus was literally based on how many months you had been on the property since August 2015. Also looked at how many of those you were captain. The first year FO talking was okay with that but the captain (who based on the amount he got was captain in August 2015) felt the fo should have gotten nothing. I think the fo was right.

I have an issue with that, and...
In recent times seeing the slow demise of worker's rights disguised as "right to work" states.
While employers receive "corporate welfare" and blame unions for their greedy decisions, which are the real cause of their financial demise.
Exactly what Spirit management pulled with by the TRO and by suing our union a year ago. This was influential in the passing of this substandard CBA.
Problem is, the uneducated ignorant public "eats" all that.

Yep and thats why the TA passed, everyone who voted for it screwed new hires (pay and ins waiting period) and screwed everyone on reserve since they basically can’t drop anymore. It’s the way of pilots it seems....
