Email from today.......
They want to track all pilots and FA who enter the crewroom. Everyone has to swipe to enter regardless of if someone holds the door for you. Some kind of LOA would be nice stating they can't use the info for disciplinary action.

I guess someone stole something from the crewroom, it's probably the same guy who's stealing the ipad chargers from the plane.

Next week:
you are required to swipe to exit the crew room. This will enable NK to track individuals that use the crew room as their crash pad......

How about a swipe for the sleep room and the FA cards won’t work

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the pilots stealing the chargers from the plane (most of the time). Don’t want to name people but other people that enter the cockpit during RON.

What’s a crew room?

I quit going in there. It reeks of cheap perfume, desperation and manly "tang"...
I don't speak "espaneesh" and other than an occasional lanyard, have no reason to be there.

Relax Frances, other real compaines have been doing this for decades. I was actually surprised that we didn't but was put back in reality when I was handed Jepp binders in INDOC. NK is just now reaching late 1990's tech.

It takes a lot less time to call while walking to the gate than it does to stop in the crew room.

I only ever call to check in and encourage everyone to do the same. Abide by the contract. If you're on hold, they will eventually call you... maybe. When asked why you didn't call to check in, tell them you're still holding on the other line.

You know how they say if everyone who got a traffic ticket showed up to court the system would grind to a halt?

I think they should just do away with the whole crew room thing.

It's in our contract. Just don't use it if you don't want to.

So commuters can just nap in the terminal before and after trips? Step outside your own box once in a while.

I was just trying to prove a point. The same people butt hurt about a swipe card are probably the same people that “never go to the crew room” but the contract says we have to have one. Which is it? Stand by. I’m sure another butt hurt moment will replace this one soon.

What other things in our contract do you want to give up for free. Everything has a price, but how will we get our lanyards without a V-File?
