Default WiFi calling

With a few more Intl overnights popping up does anyone have any experience with using the WiFi calling function on your cell phones from a hotel WiFi Intl? Is this free like using it domestic or are you getting charged Intl/roaming rates?

With tmobile you can text, call with whatsapp, while using the local network at no extra charge, IF you answer a regular call, you’ll get charge big time. just check with them before you leave the u.s.
Cheers

I fly internationally. I have an iphone 8. Before I leave the states, I turn off the cellular data and put the phone into airplane mode with the wifi turned on. I have the wifi calling enabled. Ive never been charged for making or taking a call. You just need a good wifi signal.

T-Mobile works very well, international data and texting included. Works in all countries I’ve visited with a couple of exceptions. FaceTime to make calls home.

Just make sure your Wifi calling is selected on via the settings in your phone. Your phone will switch between Wifi or LTE and you may not even noticed it. I find this happens when there's a poor connection such as some hotel rooms.

Don't say anything about it, and use that time to just relax and be free. No phone.

you can call with whatsapp regardless of your provider, as it goes via data (wifi)
