Quick questions...

Some generic questions if anyone has the time:

1. How long for a new FO to hold DFW (reserve/line)?

2. How long on reserve before holding a line (any base)?

2. How many hours are 1st year FOs blocking per month (reserve/line)?

3. Rough estimate of 1st year FO pay?

Thanks!

1. Most junior DFW FO is an 8/20/2018 hire.

Can't help on the rest, sorry.

It’s a little while now because we’ve only added about 30 pilots total since August. Just 2 pilots this last system bid. Everything slowed way down for MCO opening and PBS(possibly) They claim to upgrade 150 and hire 300 in 2019. So if hired now. You could probably get any base within 3-4 months. Right now we are over staffed. We have 50 planes coming in next 3 years. And so far no growth after that. I’d prob reconsider coming here unless you want an ACY base. Every other base we have, another airline has. You’d be better off going to frontier now. New contract and way more growth on the books. Our new CEO has been crickets since he took over. We were supposed to have AC order last quarter. Then by year end. Then by Jan 10 with big WiFi media flight that never happened. Now who knows. Kick the can down the road. It’s anyones guess but I’d plan 3-4 months to hold DFW. Reserve for a LONG time. And 72 hour guarantee

I agree with you about not coming here now, but we were never “supposed” to have a new aircraft order that’s just what everyone assumed when they wanted the contract to pass last year.

ya, I hear ya. When I said "supposed to" I meant that Fornaro and Christie both said in press conferences, something along the lines of 'expect aircraft order and growth beyond 2021' could be merger, could be BS lol who knows. but yes, as of now, there is no growth after 2021, just stagnation nation

I'm a May 2017 hire.

1. Looks like someone found it already.

2. I'm not yet holding a line in DTW. Some people right around my seniority are bouncing between reserve and relief (composite) lines in other bases. So 8ish months?

3. I've blocked 180 hours total. Yeah. We don't fly a lot on reserve. I actually went 45 days without flying last fall. So min guarantee is a good estimate of our first year pay.

Did you mean May of 2018?
If you were hired in May of 2017, you would be a solid line holder in DTW.
