Default What’s with the sweaters?

Are these commando sweaters the new North Face? Did I miss the read file where these became approved uniform? I see them everywhere.

Blazer or leather jacket. It’s that simple

Self governed, complete autonomy on appearance. If leadership doesn't care then no use getting worked up.

i have one from previous airline, super functional, looks better and more professional than the guys still wearing black northface jackets. not to mention 10% who wear the wings on the shirt when our book specifically says only on the jacket/blazer 🤷🏼*♂️

I had one too. I have a new job now and it’s not approved uniform so I don’t wear it.

I now start the apu the second I get on the plane. I turn the temperature selector to full cold and leave it there the rest of the flight.

I now need to wear a sweater and it’s glorious. Thinking about switching my undershirts to turtle necks.

Maybe we can get some half black and half yellow sweaters that look like the ones they wear on StarTreck, with an “S” on the shirt or an Airbus silhouette for the logo. We would look pretty cool walking down the terminal...

The day one of our PAX decides to switch airlines based on what their pilots are wearing is the day we've forgotten our business model.

Really? How about the crappy shoes folks wear to work? No $hit I had a new hire FO ask if I had duct tape so he could patch the hole in the sole of his shoe? I told him to call Ops and have a Mechanic bring some speed tape up for his shoe. The black tennis shoes look great with the stupid bomber jacket!!

My stupid bomber jacket is approved uniform issue; has been since I bought it in 2007. And I polish my shoes. You know, the dress kind. And wings on a shirt? Soooo Deltuh...

Yep.
Besides fleece lined NorthFace is best combo of warmth for walkarounds in MSP, ORD, DTW, BOS with out weighing 20lbs and no place to put it on next legs in FLL, SJU, PHX etc. and not wearing the bomber at the hotel either. I do wear my blazer as long as I can but eventually during the winter the NorthFace comes out. I do polish my shoes, iron my shirts(no wings) , have my pants pressed.
And when I'm in a 319 that wont stay above freezing on a 4 hour flight the NorthFace is perfect for something to just throw on. Sorry to the haters but just too big a gap between the blazer and the bomber. Not suffering because i work for a company without enough innovation to have a approved sweater or mid weight jacket.
