New guy here, have an interview scheduled in a few weeks.

Are you all saying that should a Spirit employee no-rev on, let's say, Lufthansa, you can only get a coach seat? Business and First Class is closed to us?

Also, is there a way to see open seats on the ZED approved airlines?

Thanks,
D~

Don’t come to spirit for the zed fare agreements.

Unfortunately that’s how it exactly is. You can only book the category that your own airline offers. As Spirit is coach only you have zero chance at first or business class.
Bookings are mainly done through myidtravel. They only show you green, orange and red smilies. So you only have a rough idea if you get on.

And I left my house for my commute this morning with yellow smileys on my first two options. Didn’t make it on either.

This ^^^ No United/Delta/AA zeds and yes only coach on Lufthansa and any others we actually have. Don’t come here for the zeds, if you do you’ll be disappointed.

1. LH Coach only. If you introduce yourself to the CA and the purser, he/she might give you a courtesy upgrade once the cabin door closes. Don’t bank on it though.

2. As far as seeing other airlines loads, don’t count on my id90 or my idtravel. Staff Traveler is the game changer app. Forget the rest.

3. I know you didn’t ask for advice, but why in the world would you be concerned about ZEDs on LH? Need to make it to Europe? There are very affordable tickets these days, some of those fares come close to a ZED price and they’re confirmed.
Summertime could be more expensive, but then again flights are full and making it on a ZED ticket could be unpractical. If you really want to go the cheap way, Jumpseat on any of the big 3. You’ll be at the bottom of the priority list, but could make it eastbound completely free. Westbound, you’d have to pay taxes.

Download the staff traveler app. It is EXTREMELY helpful for commuting.

This. If you use StaffTraveler (loads), Passrider (all options A to B) and FlightStats (same as passrider but can see all flights departing/arriving at an airport in time order (for those unfortunate 2 leg/creative commute options)), you will be a commuting god.

If your commute is one leg, the “flight view” app is very good! Very good app for finding flights. It just doesnt do two legs like passrider. However the app is great and not a glitchy website like passrider haha.

Absolutely. Pass rider needs to smarten your and ask people if they want to pay $10-25” bucks a year and make it into an App that is ad-free and super fast.

I love PR, but damnit that website sucks big time a lot do the times I use it

Anybody knows when ZED’s are available in Spirit for new hires?

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread but I’m looking for some help. I’m an Air Wisconsin pilot. I never fly on Spirit. Probably going to get my wife a ZED on ID90Travel site and I’ll just list for jumpseat. What are we allowed to bring as far as bags without getting charged extra? I scoured my company websites and ID90Travel and I have found no useful information. Thanks!
