New hire training
I’m in the 11/11 class and I’ve read the posts about new hire training and that we’re supposed to know memory items, limitations and flows before day one but the only thing I’ve received so far from the company about training is a link to SumTotal which to me looks like just systems modules.
So I’m just wondering when and where they give you expectations of what to know on day 1 and where you find limitations, memory items and flows? Are they on SumTotal? Do they send it to you closer to class?
I just want to get chewing on the elephant ASAP.
Thanks in advance.

COM->Performance-> Limitations
Right after the Limitations Section is a section for Memory Items and Proficiency Items.
I personally bookmark those in the COM-> Emergency/Abnormal Section.
Also look up “Crew Coordination” in the COM. This will provide mandatory call outs that pair with certain Memory Items and other emergencies.

Make sure that the documents are up to date and current. We recently had a fairly large change to the flows. When I was hired the manuals that I received (found out later) for my new hire class were two revisions out of date. Luckily for me there were no big changes. I recently did my SumTotal for recurrent and the flows presented were not up to date. They were the old flows. I have no idea how you would get the current publications if they’re not on sumtotal.
We had a guy in our class that studied the wrong limitations and he could not get the correct ones in his head in time. He was let go.
Our IT department leaves a lot to be desired.
