Any "Latest and Greatest" about Spirit.
Too many thread drifts have occurred so I'll just make a thread for all stuff good and bad from the new Miramar offices to plane orders and mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies and absolute unfounded conjecture. I'll begin.
Spirit will announce an aircraft order. I don't know how soon, or by which Consortium, but I will say that the plane makers have their tails tucked presently and that's a win for airline management worldwide. My bet is with Boeing with the recently mandated 10% tariff on Airbus. But Boeing will have to demonstrate in a HHHHUUUGGGEEEE way that MCAS is an ECU redundancy that can be easily forgotten.

Spirit plans on partnering with Mountain Dew on a new yellow drink that they will promote.
Another interesting bit in the works, 60 minutes will be doing a special “Day in the life of a discount airline”
Could be A321NEO announcement. Heard we want to tap into the Hawaii market. Also planning on Toronto to Florida routes. FLL to Brazil and further down south. Also adding flights out of DFW. DFW-SJU, DFW-ABQ

I heard from a guy that the Frontier merger is pretty much a done deal. News should be any day now. We are going to absorb them we are going to close down the DEN base. The new HQ will help with most of the new personnel that we will get from them, what ever doesn’t overlap. Their plane order will become Spirits and that where the 300+ planes (by 2025) will come from. Uniforms are delayed because of this merger (minor tweaks in the current proposal)

With a new aircraft order almost etched deep, does anyone care to speculate which markets our bean counters would likely insert these airplanes to? Possible bases? Could they all fit in current bases? Ideas for where we may expand?
