We use to have "Pennies" Fares, on some routes and certain days. I don't know if we still have those. You basically pay for the taxes. It doesn't hurt to have the agent check the prices. As far as bags, at my home airport, Somehow i get bags added when the tickets is purchase without ever asking. ;) All of this info was given to me by an agent, and that's why i've always buy my tickets at the counter.
I bought a penny fare to CUN at the end of October, we still have them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Neat, are they advertised or is it just luck of the draw?
Not advertised, you have to look for them. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...96b7c9ba71.jpg I actually found it on spirit.com, you go through the check out process and you can see the fare details. We were going to spend over $70 in taxes if we just listed as non-rev, so I figured we might as well be confirmed. I bought the ticket in FLL and avoided online fees. You can also ask the gate agents to look up fares if they have time, and they can quickly tell you if there are any penny fares. |
