NK & F9 CJOs
(Asking for a friend. )
Let’s say a pilot has a CJO from both Spirit & Frontier and said pilot interested in either living in base (ORD or MCO), which airline does one choose for quality of life? Frontier is growing like crazy over the next 6 years which would probably result in the best relative seniority gain, but Spirit just announced another large aircraft order, too.
Also, how does Spirit’s pilot contract compare to Frontier’s in terms of QOL or compensation benefits? Both tout great QOL provisions, but I’m interested in specifics (time off, vacation accrual, health care, premium pay, etc.).

Might be a place to start, it’s already an active discussion. Asking a Spirit pilot about what we have that Frontier doesn’t have would probably be the worst way to go at this; like asking a Frontier pilot the opposite.
If you have a job offer at both, get a copy of both contracts, and read. They are both ALPA shops so the sections match up.
Otherwise 80% on the Spirit forum will say Spirit is better and 80% on the Frontier forum will say Frontier is better.

One word! Frankie! You go work for F9 then you deserve what you get. F9 has good people and I have friends there. Common issue Frankie! Look how the guy has treated the employee group. Be smart don't answer when they call. No way! If you plan on getting a bus type and bailing out don't. I wouldn't want them on my resume. Sorry that's how I see it. No offense to the good folks at F9. They have always been very good to me and the folks run a good airline.

The flow is for suckers. After working in the AAG system, I have no desire to work for AA by waiting around for the possibility of working for a ‘legacy.’ Also, the “already American” crowd cracks me up because until you’re on the mainline seniority list, you’re just a pawn in the regional chess match.
