Are we surprised? It's the city bus on spirit.

We made into the newspaper John Cleese hates. I, for one, feel almost honored.

Packed flights, and a free MMA fight! Spirit pax will be all over this; heck you could probably implement an up charge if a flight could guarantee an inflight fight. PAs are made on taxi out encouraging pax to place their bets. Spirit Flight Fights 2020! Place your bets at time of booking, bets taken at the gate, or on board will be subject to additional fees.

Hey, I’m just ecstatic to hear about a “packed” flight nowadays!

I'm hearing the victim was taken off and the assailants continued on to Detroit? How does that happen. And the cops did not arrest them after a savage beating? Out of their jurisdiction give me a break. This is horrible. Why are people scared to intervene? The guy could have died from multiple blows shown in the video.

I wasn't there, but I definitely know what I would've done.

So I'm gathering the moral of the story is "Divert in the state you were over when the incident occurred?"
Would there have been arrests if they had diverted to Omaha? |

Your Captain continued on with these thugs in the back? I’m literally speechless. I’m never one to second guess PIC decision making, but you have got to be fuqing kidding me. And the FO can’t speak up and say ‘uh Cap? No way’. This isn’t the press you need right now...smh
|
None of us were there so let’s all defer judgement. I’m pretty confident none of our captains would have let the assailant continue on after the diversion. Arrest or not and spirit station or not we still decide who stays or goes as the captain. You can walk the rest of the way as far as I’m concerned.
Also, any time any of us have had law enforcement meet us at the destination the locals have always handled it no matter what states sky we were over. I think we are missing a lot of facts and relying on poor reporting on this case. Let’s keep that in mind. |
Against my better judgement I just watched the video, and I'm sorry, lack of facts or not, I would not let that assailant back on my plane. He punched repeatedly, violently and rapidly. And over what? A verbal argument? (This is where the lack of facts comes in, I suppose.)
I'm by no means a "tough guy" but there's no way I'd let that guy back on if I knew at the time that's what he did. And the fact that there is blood on the seats is good enough for me, "All the facts" or not. |

You sound as tough as me, how does a tough guy handle this?
Just watch Zoolander; it's like a how-to manual for these sort of shenanigans. Plane Coffee |

So are you denying that it happened? Are insinuating that the crew of this particular flight didn't let the thugs (in my judgment) back on that Airbus? Going with what's been reported, there's no effing way I'd let those guys back on that plane. I don't care where we are. No thinking required.

I’m saying if what happened happened I find it hard to believe anyone involved would be let back on the plane. I just don’t see one of our captains allowing that. Enjoy Des Moines!

We really don’t know what happened. Remember that flight crew at the time didn’t see the video that was sent to the media. So maybe they had a hard time figuring out who the assailants were especially since they went in the bathroom and change their clothes. Maybe there was something else. I agree let’s not jump to conclusions.

True they didn't see the video. True there is no way they would return to my plane.
