If you can’t find a pad, the few weeks I was DTW, the airport Clarion was very accommodating.... Hope you find a place!

For slightly less, the HoJo is okay.
Personally, I don't like the America's Best Value, but a lot of guys do.
I haven't had to get many rooms since Covid, so I don't know what kind of deals can be had, but the Delta Hotel (Marriott) was giving rooms for only 10,000 points, which is a great deal for a Marriott quality room if you have the points.

For slightly more, I've upgraded to the Baymont. I think it's worth it. I'm kind of over the cheap dirty hotels.

Not sure if she's taking any right now but maybe by august
I stayed at one for three years. An older lady rented out some spare bedrooms in her home. I think she was charging 175 but for an extra 20 a month she'd taxivyou back and forth to the airport.... Like 8.minutrs away
A few rules or course because you're staying in her home... Clean up after yourself.... Turn off lights when you eave a room... Do NOT play on your phone when she's talking to you. A bit like staying with grandma or an older aunt... Lol
Lots of food to walk to but she does provide. Kerning coffee and bagrls/toast. Occasionally she springs for pizza.
