The difference between what they are saying and what they are thinking. Surprisingly, WN management let the cat out of the bag. |

Well then, you've been around long enough to know that opinions are like assh*les, everbody has one.
To think any us have the answers to this unprecedented, day to day crisis is ludicrous. But by all means, you continue to tell those about to possibly hit the the street, you told them so. |

First year, live like you were at a commuter As an FO, live like you were an FE As a captain, live like you were an FO and you would always be prepared for a furlough or downgrade. Probably doesn’t work nowadays for the need to have it all now generation. Best of luck to us all! |
Most have no clue who millennials are. Many graduated college before the financial crisis that the ultimate give me generation created in 08. Yet we were so low on the pecking order in every industry we were the first to suffer the consequences of that ordeal that lasted years and we were the last to recover. Many of us in just the last couple years.
Forget flying, we got furloughed and there weren’t jobs in any industry. Wanna know why people have kids so late these days? It’s because none of us had money to have them or buy a home. We were just trying to eat. I’d say millennials have a better perspective on living through adversity than most boomers. Now there is a younger generation in the work force and those that are pilots may have not experienced a downturn yet. Let them learn instead of bashing them. But don’t confuse them with a millennial. Let me proceed to get off your lawn. |

As a millennial, this is my 3rd ‘rodeo’... First I was senior enough to be relatively unaffected, second I lost my Captain seat for over a year, this one tbd... Good luck to us all. |
Only a Gen Y or Zer would consider losing "your" left seat for a whole year to be a life-changing catastrophic event.

Gen Xer here. This generational stuff is a bore. Try listening to some Bowie or something. Find a hobby. We're all screwed up. As Frankie says, relax.
