Stryker172 07-13-2020 04:55 AM

CatchyUsername 07-13-2020 04:57 AM

Is there some new news?

Silver02ex 07-13-2020 05:01 AM

The last email from the MEC said, the meeting with the company is today. Somehow this guy already has the numbers

Seems to be a common theme on APC. This pandemic has certainly drawn the worst folks in our industry out of the woodwork.

king10pin02 07-13-2020 05:53 AM

it was dudes first apc post since 2015... its nonsense

senecacaptain 07-13-2020 06:08 AM

growing wearing of all this negative crap on APC

So I find this odd - it’s his first post in 5 years and he comes to a spirit forum with a furlough number. No other posts before or after.

Also, looked at his past posts and not one ounce or sign of trolling. Not writing this guy off, yet. We should know soon from the Mec.

FlyGuy2002 07-13-2020 06:41 AM

If we are throwing out random numbers, I say 7.35 furloughs.. 6.2 will be recalled rather quickly

Stryker172 07-13-2020 06:47 AM

3.6 furloughs. Not great not terrible.

MCDUmanipulator 07-13-2020 07:07 AM

If this company furloughs 700 you can all kiss your jobs good bye because they won’t survive if it’s that bad.

BoldPilot 07-13-2020 07:18 AM

I think everyone should just chill out. This guys is just sounding the alarm. When Paul Revere told everyone that “the British were coming” they didn’t ask him for a source they acted and dressed accordingly. Think of this guy as Paul Revere.

senecacaptain 07-13-2020 07:27 AM

next earnings report I believe is August 5. maybe we hear something more solid then

DrDHD 07-13-2020 07:37 AM

I just want to know after 5 years of not posting - he posts out of the blue in the early am. What’s up with that? What’s the source?

MCDUmanipulator 07-13-2020 07:49 AM

He doesn’t have one and has spread it everywhere. Are we going to furlough? Probably.. are we going to furlough 700 probably not.

articwenger 07-13-2020 08:14 AM

He is ##3#&$5&#@on the seniority list...

Balker 07-13-2020 08:53 AM

He’s not worried about furloughs ‘cause he got a job offer from CNN. Every time a headline makes people run for the hills they get an incentive bonus.

On a more serious note, I think we might be over staffed by 700 but that doesn’t necessarily translate into 700 furloughs. This would leave the company with no reaction capacity and a retrain nightmare if you have to bring them back quickly. We now have a much better grip on how fast demand can come back. When the company announced 550 flights a day (basically overnight) they weren’t wrong. I think they nailed. The second spike came too soon though and rained on our parade. I’m pretty confident we’ll see demand come back as fast as it did just don’t know when. The vaccine is not far out, at least not for emergency use approval. Having said all this, anything it’s possible at this point.
