Average loss of $1.6M a day seems pretty acceptable given the circumstances and the fact that we were losing $4M a day for a significant portion of that time.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I’d definitely have a plan of some type starting October 1. If things actually get better, nothing lost. But if they don’t get better, I wouldn’t want to be caught with my pants down. I speak from experience lol. I’m trying to stay positive, but it doesn’t look good to me

Hope everyone has done their call to action about extending payroll support through spring. If we could get protected until then, and a vaccine comes out on schedule, things might just work out

Wait for the call tomorrow - should provide insight going forward my opinion

Agreed....just wish people would have behaved from the start and we could have had a strong July. We've went from a potentially strong q3, relatively speaking, to a junk q3 in a couple of weeks time. Needed those throughputs to be clearing a million by now. Instead, daily passenger numbers are regressing. So frustrating.
School isn’t happening this fall either no matter how much it probably needs to so that impediment to travel will be lifted. I would bet late September to October starts looking more like July, and people go ahead and travel relatively hard again for Turkey Day/ Christmas. And then we’ll probably see another increase in infections and so forth. More therapeutics and a vaccine would do wonders right about now. Just me spitballing. |

I just don’t see people really caring about extending our $100-$300k job protection pay so we can pretty much just sit around and do nothing.

Airlines employ (or used to employ) almost 700,000 people. So neither party wants to be the one to say “no” and **** off 700,000 voters in a presidential election year, notwithstanding whether or not the general public likes it.
